Goiás has no civil state holiday. The three dates found on lists, 26 July, 24 October and 28 October, are in the civil service statute and apply only to the state civil service. 2027: 10 national and state holidays, 7 on weekdays, and 254 working days. State Law 20,756/2020, the civil service statute, says in article 269 that the state civil service has holidays on the founding of the City of Goiás, 26 July, the laying of Goiânia's foundation stone, 24 October, and Public Servants' Day, 28 October. The governor may move the date by decree: in 2026, 26 July went to 20 July. For private employers these are working days, which is why the calculators do not remove them. Goiânia's municipal holidays are not on the site: the municipal law could not be read.
