Acre has more state holidays than any other Brazilian state, six, and is the only one that moves state holidays falling mid-week to the Friday, so that the rest joins up with the weekend. 2027: 16 national and state holidays, 11 on weekdays, and 250 working days. The six holidays come from different laws: Catholics' Day, 20 January, from Law 3,137/2016; Evangelicals' Day, 23 January, from Law 1,538/2004; International Women's Day, 8 March, from Law 1,411/2001; Statehood Day, 15 June, from Law 14/1964; Amazon Day, 5 September, from Law 243/1968; and the Treaty of Petrópolis, 17 November, from Law 57/1965. Law 2,126/2009, amended the same year, moves those falling Tuesday to Thursday to the Friday, except 15 June. If two fall in the same week they take consecutive days: in 2027, 20 January moves to Friday the 22nd, the day before Evangelicals' Day. 6 August, the start of the Acre Revolution, is an observance, not a holiday.

Catholics' Day, Fri 22 January, Evangelicals' Day, Sat 23 January, International Women's Day, Mon 8 March, Acre Statehood Day, Tue 15 June, Amazon Day, Sun 5 September and Treaty of Petrópolis Day, Fri 19 November. Why do holidays move to another day in Acre?

Because of State Law 2,126/2009: a state holiday falling on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday is observed on the Friday of the same week, except Statehood Day, 15 June. National holidays do not move. The table above lists this date and the other Acre holidays for 2026, 2027 and 2028, with the weekday and the law behind each one.

What is the best bridge of 2027 in Acre?

The Acre Statehood Day one: with 1 day off on Mon 14 June, you get 4 free days in a row, from Sat 12 June to Tue 15 June. Spreading 10 days off across the whole year, the planner reaches 30 free days. Municipal holidays and optional days off are left out, because they depend on the city and the employer.
