Christmas 2026 falls on a Friday and Christmas 2027 on a Saturday. New Year's Day 2027 is a Friday, giving a three-day weekend right at the turn of the year. Carnival 2027 comes early: Carnival Tuesday is 9 February 2027 and Easter 28 March 2027. Brazilian Mother's Day 2027 is 9 May 2027 and Father's Day 8 August 2027. The counter above runs from midnight on your device; Brazil has four time zones, so midnight in Acre comes two hours after Brasília. Besides calendar days, the tool shows how many working days are left in the chosen state, minus national and state holidays, which helps anyone with a deadline before the year-end break or Carnival. The table shows the dates the tool counts down to, over the next few years. Carnival, Easter and Corpus Christi change every year because they follow the moon; Christmas and New Year have a fixed day but the weekday changes.

Calendar days and working days
Calendar days count every day, weekends and holidays included. Working days count Monday to Friday only, minus holidays. For anyone planning a delivery before Christmas the gap is large: between 1 and 24 December there are about three and a half weeks of calendar but only some seventeen working days. The tool does that sum for the chosen state.
The count starts tomorrow: if today is Monday and the date is Friday, four days are left. On the day itself, the counter says "today".

The end of 2026
In 2026, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on Thursdays and are optional days off from 1 pm for federal bodies, under the Ministry of Management's ordinance. Christmas Day and 1 January 2027 fall on Fridays, giving two three-day weekends in a row. The month's holidays are on undefined.
